indieroyale Indie game and music bundles launched this weekIt seems that the “indie bundle” idea has really caught on– following the perennial success of the Humble Indie Bundle, new efforts have arisen to spark interest in independent games– and now music — throughout the year.

This week, two of the newer promotions have returned to offer ridiculous “name your own price” deals. Indie Royale is now running their Valentine’s Bundle, and making 5 indie titles available at a low-low price until the close of the Hallmark Holiday. Here’s what’s on the docket:

  • Zeno Clash: a first-person brawler based on Valve’s Source Engine, best described as “Dark Messiah meets Double Dragon.”
  • Hoard: you’re a mighty dragon out to destroy civilizations and build a giant pile of loot.
  • Lume: a visually stunning adventure game with a cardboard-cutout style.
  • Soulcaster I and II- a mashup of tower defense and RPG elements that looks like it just rolled off the NES.

On The Record

For the audiophiles out there, the best news of this week had to be the second coming of the Game Music Bundle.  For whatever price you want to pay, you can pick up these killer game scores:

  • Aquaria
  • Swords and Sworcery
  • Jamestown
  • To The Moon
  • Machinarium

Better yet, if you pay more than $10, you’ll get access to the ever-growing bonus collection, which includes game scores and game-related albums from Disasterpiece, Virt, A_Rival, Flashygoodness, and more. In all, the bonus collection will weigh in at 12 a whole crapload of albums, assuming the community unlocks them all by hitting the target sales goals.

To sweeten an already tasty deal, the Game Music Bundle folks are rewarding their top 20 big spenders with additional music on physical media, with actual vinyl LPs going to the top 10.
